    Here in Singapore, we have over 130,000 foreign workers from the Indian sub-continent. Workers from India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh flock to Singapore to seek employment as cleaners, construction workers and labourers.

    Undoubtedly, they play a very important part in the functioning of our country.

    In a country of only 4 million, 130,000 is a sizeable figure.
